HO CHI MINH CITY, August 27, 2026 — On the afternoon of August 27, 2026, at its 1st Delegate Congress, the Ho Chi Minh City Business Federation officially elected its Executive Committee for the new term. Mr. Mai Huu Tin — Chairman and CEO of U&I Investment Corporation (U&I Group), and concurrently Chairman of U&I Logistics Corporation — was entrusted with the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Federation for the 2026–2031 term, succeeding Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa.
The Congress unanimously voted to rename the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association as the Ho Chi Minh City Business Federation, marking a strategic transformation to strengthen the roles of connecting, representing, and protecting the legitimate interests of the business community. HUBA currently gathers a network of 72 collective member organizations along with over 17,000 member enterprises across the city.
The event took place against the backdrop of Ho Chi Minh City's economic landscape recording many bright spots: in the first six months of 2026, the city's GRDP grew by 8.55%, with the scale reaching approximately VND 1.55 quadrillion, contributing nearly 24.5% of national GDP — the city's highest growth rate in a decade.
Delivering directive remarks at the Congress, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc requested that the Ho Chi Minh City Business Federation proactively shift from the role of "reflecting policy" to "jointly participating in shaping and implementing policy"; while also strengthening linkages among business blocs and identifying digital transformation and green transformation as the two core competitive capabilities for sustainable development in the new period.
U&I Logistics Corporation respectfully congratulates Mr. Mai Huu Tin on his important new position. With more than 30 years of business leadership experience and an enduring spirit of dedication to the development of the business community, U&I Logistics believes that together with the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Federation, he will lead the organization to many breakthrough achievements in the 2026–2031 term.
